The closing unit (2) has an actuator e.g. electromotor and piezo element, moving or blocking and releasing a bolting device and an unlocking unit of a lock. A switch is arranged between an electrical power supply arrangement and the actuator. A passive RFID basic circuit is provided with an antenna. The actuator, the switch between the electrical power supply arrangement and the actuator, an encoding/decryption unit and a key storage are arranged in a metal or plastic housing (13). A key of a separate transponder is used to authenticate a reader (4) with respect to the closing unit. An independent claim is also included for a method for unlocking and/or latching a lock.
