The strand element (29) has several counter-units (27) that are formed along in the longitudinal direction of a strand portion, for coupling and/or locking with the coupling units correspondingly. The guide devices are extended in longitudinal direction of the strand portion. Independent claims are included for the following: (1) a profile strand; and (2) a shading plant.
