The present invention concerns a tower section storage device (1) for storing a tower section (100) of a wind turbine tower. The device (1) comprises a central body frame (5) defining a centre point (C), at least three feet (3a, 3b, 3c), and at least three tower section receiving areas (9, 9a, 9b, 9c) connected to the central body frame (5). All of the feet (3a, 3b, 3c) are connected to the central body frame (5) such that they can be moved away from and/or towards the centre point (C). The invention also concerns a method for storing a tower section (100), in particular of a wind turbine tower by means of such device (1).
