The system has a locking cylinder including a cylindrical core that is mounted in a housing, where the cylindrical core is provided with a key channel for guiding a key (1). An auxiliary blocking element is designed for cooperating with a recess (10) that is arranged at a key shaft (3) when the key is inserted till to a maximum insertion depth. The recess is completely arranged in a groove (7) that runs in a longitudinal direction of the key shaft and moves away from a key tip (5), where the groove is formed in a broad side of the key shaft.
