Built-in lock that comprises a handle (8) with a lever (9) and a spindle (11); an operating mechanism (17) for converting the rotation of the handle (8) into a translation of a locking slat (5) and a base (21), whereby the operating mechanism (17) is held fast by a clamping plate (19) that is movable in the axial direction (Y-Y') of the spindle (11), whereby the clamping plate (19) is provided with a bearing (28) for the rotation of the handle (8), whereby this bearing (28) is held fast in the clamping plate (19) in the axial direction (Y-Y') and whereby this bearing (28) is provided with a clip mechanism (29) to lock the spindle (11) in the axial direction (Y-Y') with respect to the bearing (28) in the mounted situation.
