A self-closing slide rail assembly (10) includes a first rail (12), a second rail (14), and a self-closing mechanism (16). The second rail (14) is longitudinally displaceable relative to the first rail (12). The self-closing mechanism (16) includes a housing (40), an elastic member (44), and a movable member (46). The housing (40) is mounted on the first rail (12). The movable member (46) is movable within the housing (40) in response to the elastic energy released by the elastic member (44). The second rail (14) is retracted relative to the first rail (12) by the movable member (46) upon engagement therewith when moving from an extended position toward a retracted position.
