The invention relates to a reinforced track base plate (1) having supports (7) for the rails (8), wherein dowels (9) for receiving fastening screws for holding the rails are provided in the supports (7) and wherein one or more through-holes (10) are provided in the track base plate (1) in the longitudinal center. For simple reinforcement (2, 2') and good strength, the reinforcement is formed by at least one metal plate, which is provided with openings (4) and which is cut out in the region of the holes (10). The arrangement of the openings (4) of the metal plate is matched to the position of the dowels (9) for receiving the fastening screws for holding the rails.
