The double pair of crossbeams (7, 8) is hinged in the vicinity of the upper ends of the central uprights (4), and the platforms (5, 6) are hinged to the two pairs of side uprights (2, 3) and the pair of central uprights (4), in a manner that the side uprights (2, 3) are maintained parallel to the central uprights (4) in folding the scaffold (1).
