The present invention relates to a modular building, i.e. to a building, the usable space of which is provided by at least two modules. It can be a building with living spaces, office spaces or, for example, can be a health clinic. In particular, the invention relates to a method for erecting a modular building (10) on a base, which method comprises the following steps: – supplying a first module (12) at a supply site in the vicinity of an erection site, – placing the first module (12) onto an underride adjustment means (20) at the supply site, – bringing the first module (12) with the underride adjustment means (20) to the erection site, – adjusting the height of the first module (12) over the base at the erection site with the aid of the underride adjustment means (20), wherein the latter has a rolling frame (30), – adjusting the horizontal position of the first module (12) above the base by displacing a rolling frame (30) relative to the underride adjustment means (20), – extending supports (22) in order to fix the horizontal and vertical position of the first module (12), – removing the underride adjustment means (20). The invention furthermore relates to a kit for such a modular building.
