The invention relates to a key, in particular a reversible key, for a cylinder-lock locking system, comprising a key head and a key bit, wherein the key bit has a plurality of rotationally symmetric recesses for receiving pin-like tumblers of a lock cylinder, wherein the pin-like tumblers are designed as a classic two-part series arrangement in the lock cylinder housing and in the cylinder core. According to the invention, the key bit is provided with a rotationally asymmetric cut-out in at least one spacing surface between the rotationally symmetric recesses, which cut-out consists of two side walls and a bottom, in particular a circular-arc-shaped bottom surface, which is bounded by the side walls, in order in this way to create a further key coding possibility and, by means of the combination of bored and milled codings, to impede unauthorized copying of the key.
