There is disclosed a prefabricated window casing (2) of the kind composed of a number of panel sections (10, 12, 14, 16) suited to be adapted and arranged about a present opening (6) in a wall (8), said panels sections (10, 12, 14, 16) are assembled by cooperating connect sections (18), where the panel sections (10, 12, 14, 16) consists of a number of oblong profile bodies (24) comprising a number of parallel running cavities (28, 30, 32,0 34, 36) with open ends, and where the connect sections (18) comprises protruding locking cams (60) cooperating with first sub-cut tracks (29) in the oblong profile bodies (24), and said connect sections (18) further comprises a first stop surface (54) and a second stop surface (54) which are cooperating with the first ends (11) and the second ends (13) of the oblong profile bodies, against said stop surfaces (54), relevant ends (11, 13) of the profile bodies (24) are in full abutment, in the assembled state of the window casing (2). The prefabricated window casing is distinguished by being light in its construction, and may therefore be mounted by one man, and it has excellent insulating properties thanks to the still air in the parallel running cavities. The disclosed window casing is very suitable in new buildings and exterior thermal rehabilitation of existing buildings.
