The invention relates to a device for covering at least one component (F, S, P) of a fastening point (B) for a rail (S) for a rail vehicle on a foundation (U). The fastening point (B) comprises a spring element (F) which exerts an elastic hold-down force onto the rail (S), whereas the device (1) has a cover cap (2) which can be positioned over the spring element (F) in order to shield against the environment such that the spring element (F) sits in a recess (4) of the cover cap. The cover cap is dimensioned such that the spring element (F) can freely follow the movements of the rail while in use. The device (1) additionally comprises a retaining part (3) which can be handled separately from the cover cap (2), which is arranged in the region of the spring element (F), and which has at least one molded element (14, 15, 16, 17) that is used as a stop for positioning the cover cap (2) on the retaining part (3) in a precise manner.
