PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a hand guide type road surface compacting roller.SOLUTION: The present invention relates to a hand guide type road compacting roller in which a control mechanism (12) is present for operating the hand guide type road compacting roller (1) in a manipulation operation mode; and a control mechanism (12) drives roller drums (4, 5) in inversely rotating direction in a manipulation operation mode, and/or drives at least one of the roller drums (4, 5), especially both the roller drums (4, 5) while converting the rotational direction at a set frequency, and/or blocks one of the roller drums (4, 5) while driving the other roller drum (4, 5) rotated in one rotation direction.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
