Provided herein is a plaster composition for the preparation of a plasterboard, comprising plaster, water, and a foaming agent composition. The foaming agent composition comprises 5 one or more foaming agents selected from alkyl sulfate and alkylether sulfate; and one or more amine oxides. Further provided herein are plasterboards made from said plaster composition, and methods for the manufacture of said plasterboards.
