GLASS TILE AND METHOD OF MAKING THE SAME
The present disclosure relates to a glass tile (10) and a method of making a glass tile (10) using a glass pressing technique. The glass tile (10) may include a tile body (12) of substantially homogenous glass material, an annular rim (24) extending in a marginal portion (26) of the tile body (12), and a cavity (30) provided in a central portion (28) of the tile body (12) such that the glass tile (10) forms a multi-sided compartment. A predefined texture (14) may be disposed on at least part of the glass tile (10) to provide a desired visual effect and/or a desired optical effect. The glass tile (10) may be incorporated into a decorative assembly or structure such as flooring, roofing, doors and windows, landscaping and facades, and lighting.
