The invention relates to a one-/two-way cable seal for protecting against the entry of water and the penetration of smoke into intermediate spaces and into cavities in cable conduits, channels and wall ducts (8) provided with cables and/or pipes (10). The device consists of a flat tube sealing cushion (1) which can be set in terms of length and width, which can be filled with air via a heat-shrink thermoplastic filling tube (4a), which is provided with pressure-tight closures and with a swelling-tape-type sealing strip (5) on the outer sides, and which, after pressurised filling via the thermoplastic filling tube (4a), has a tightness up to (5) m of water column via crimping by means of a crimping sleeve in combination with a crimping tool or via welding.
