The invention relates to multiple glazing (11) comprising a glazed module (8) having at least one spacer frame (4) fixed between two sheets of glass (1, 2) and a sealing barrier (7) around the outer edge of the spacer frame (4) between the two sheets of glass, and at least one reinforcing profile element (9) along each side (81) of the glazed module. On each side (81) of the glazed module (8), the reinforcing profile element (9) is independent of the spacer frame (4), and at least one reinforcing profile element (9) is designed to receive functional elements (13, 18) of a closing device into which the multiple glazing (11) is to be fitted.
