The invention relates to an intermediate container (100, 300, 500) for a bio-waste collection system comprising a container (101, 301, 501), an inlet (103) for crushed bio-waste, a perforated sloped base (102) inside the container and tilted downwards in the propagation direction of the crushed bio-waste, a first outlet (104), which is a drain outlet underneath the perforated sloped base for the filtered fluid, and a second outlet (105) for non-filtered bio-waste moved over the perforated sloped base, that is connected to a bio-waste container (553). The invention relates to a bio-waste collection system comprising an intermediate container.
