The present invention relates to a tool changer (50) comprising at least one tool retaining portion (152,154) for holding a tool (20,30) being mountable to a tool mount (3), the tool changer being configured to be movably attached to a construction machine (1) and comprising a moving mechanism for moving the tool retaining portion in alignment with an articulated boom (2) of the construction machine to allow for picking of the tool by the tool mount. The present invention further relates to a construction machine with such a tool changer and a method of mounting a tool on the construction machine.
