An armrest (100), comprising a user interface (1). The armrest comprises an upper beam (3), a lower beam (4), wherein said upper and lower beams being arranged one on the other and attached at their first end (5) rotatable with respect to an operator's operating environment by upper and lower pivot points (6, 7), respectively, the upper and lower pivot points having a first distance (D1). The upper and lower beams are attached at their second end (8) rotatable to a user interface support (9) by upper and lower support pivot points (10, 11), respectively, the upper and lower support pivot points having a second distance (D2). The beams (3, 4) and the pivot points (6, 7, 10 ,11) are arranged so that due to rotation of the beams (3, 4) from an operating position of the armrest (100) to an upper position of said armrest, the user interface support (9) rotates less than the beams (3, 4) .
