WATER ABSORPTION PREVENTING MATERIAL FOR INORGANIC POROUS MATERIAL, METHOD FOR MODIFYING CONCRETE, AND CONCRETE
To provide a water absorption preventing material which is an organosilicon compound based composition which has excellent workability and storage stability and can impart excellent water resistance to an inorganic porous material (such as concrete, mortar, lightweight cellular concrete, and bricks) for extended periods of time.The water absorption preventing material according to the present invention includes the following components (A) to (D).(A) 70 to 95 wt% of an organoalkoxysilane represented by the general formula R1aSi(OR2)(4-a)(wherein R1is each independently a monovalent hydrocarbon group having 1 to 20 carbon atoms, with at least one R1 being an alkyl group having 4 to 20 carbon atoms, R2is an alkyl group having 1 to 3 carbon atoms, and a is 1 or 2); (B) 0.2 to 10 wt% of silicone resin selected from the group consisting of MQ resin, MTQ resin, MDQ resin, MDTQ resin, and T resin having an alkyl group with 4 to 20 carbon atoms; (C) 0 to 5 wt% of an organosilicone represented by the following general formula:(wherein R3is each independently an alkyl group having 1 to 20 carbon atoms, Q is a group bonded to a silicon atom and selected from a group containing a hydroxyl group or alkoxy group, an amino group, an amide group, a carboxyl group, an epoxy group, and a hydroxyl group, A is a group selected from a hydroxyl group, R3, and Q, l is 0 to 500, and m is 0 to 20, wherein one of I and m is not 0); and (D) 0.1 to 6 wt% of a surfactant containing a nonionic surfactant of HLB12 or less along with a nonionic surfactant of HLB15 or more; wherein the proportion of (A)/{(B)+(C)} is 4:1 to 250:1 ((A)/{(B)+(C)}) as a weight ratio, while the proportion of the total amount of components (A), (B), and (C) is 70.2 to 95.2 wt% of the total amount.
