IMPROVED PHENOL-FURAN RESIN COMPOSITION WITH REDUCED COMBUSTIBILITY, PREPARATION OF PRE-IMPREGNATED FIBER-REINFORCED COMPOSITE MATERIAL AND ITS USE
The subject of the invention is a liquid resin composition suitable for the production of preimpregnated, fibre¬- reinforced composite material with improved fire- and heat-resistance containing the mixture of 60 - 90 wt % phenolic resin, 0 - 16.7 wt % furan resin, 0 - 16.7 wt % carbamide resin and 0.01 - 10 wt % acid catalyst. It is characterised in that it contains 0 - 13 wt % Na metasilicate, 1 - 6 wt % melamine derivative, 0 - 8 wt % ammonium- polyphosphate and maximum 1 wt % boric compound calculated to elemental boron as fire-retardant additives and further, commonly used filling and colouring materials preferably selected from the group of materials containing metal oxides, kaolin, glass pearl.
