ELECTROSTATIC SENSOR AND DOOR HANDLE
An electrostatic sensor is characterized in that there are provided a detection electrode, a shield electrode provided in a periphery of the detection electrode, a first AC power supply, coupled to the detection electrode, and configured to generate an AC voltage having a first voltage amplitude, a second AC power supply, coupled to the shield electrode, and configured to generate an AC voltage having a second voltage amplitude, a charge quantity measuring device configured to measure a quantity of charge flowing from the first AC power supply to the detection electrode, and a control device coupled to the charge quantity measuring device, wherein the AC voltage generated by the first AC power supply and the AC voltage generated by the second AC power supply have the same frequency and the same phase, wherein the second voltage amplitude of the AC voltage generated by the second AC power supply is larger than the first voltage amplitude of the AC voltage generated by the first AC power supply, and wherein a detection target on a side of a detection surface is detected based on a change in an electrostatic capacitance between the detection electrode and the detection target.
