The invention relates to a rail cleaning method comprising:- applying a corrosion reduction liquid on a top surface of a rail (10) of a railway;- letting the liquid work during an operation time period;- applying a flush liquid on the rail to remove the corrosion reduction liquid and resolved substances; and- collecting the residual liquid comprising used corrosion reduction liquid, used flush liquid and resolved substances.The invention also relates to a rail cleaning device (1).
