The present invention relates to a connected modular greening device for a building, made up of one or more modules of flat structure that have on one of their major faces visible vegetation elements and are in the form of a support of generally flat design, with a parallelepipedal shape, small thickness with respect to its lateral dimensions and having a bottom wall (1) and at least two solid lateral walls, the open face of the module on the opposite side from the bottom allowing the passage of the vegetation elements, characterized in that said module is made up of a rigid and leaktight bottom plate (1) and by a multilayer growing complex comprising, successively, at least one first fibrous synthetic material (2), a flexible wire mesh (4) and a second fibrous synthetic material (3).
