A work machine and the like capable of causing a user, such as a worker and a supervisor, etc., to confirm a status of a worksite from outside, is provided. Therefore, a work machine (for example, the excavator 100) according to an embodiment of the present invention includes a sensor (for example, the imaging apparatus 40) configured to acquire information relating to a status of a surrounding area of the work machine; and a transmitting unit (for example, the transmitting unit 305C) configured to transmit, to an external apparatus (for example, the support apparatus 200 or the management apparatus 300), the information relating to the status of the surrounding area of the work machine, which is acquired by the sensor or generated based on the information acquired by the sensor.
