LIFT TRUCK OPERATOR COMPARTMENT DOOR
Lift trucks (200) can have an operator compartment (210) designed with an ergonomically improved cab door (220) having a door frame (221), a set of glass sheets (230), upper and lower hinges (236, 238), a handle (244), a door catch assembly (250), a door support member (240), and one or more operator handlebars (245, 246). The door support member (240) and operator handlebars (245, 246) can be sized and/or positioned to provide structural strength to the door (220). The cab door (220) can have an unobstructed door design to facilitate maximum operator visibility. The catch assembly (250) can maintain the door (220) in an open position and the operator can readily close the door when desired. In one embodiment, the door (220) includes a vertical operator handlebar (246) and a horizontal operator handlebar (245) that facilitate easy entry into and exit from the operator compartment (210) without unduly obscuring operator visibility through the door (220).
