A tile fastening system for fastening at least one tile disposed above a subsurface, comprising: at least one fastening mechanism (110) comprising: a top surface (119) having a first side; a second side opposite the first side, a front side; and a back side; a forwardly angled portion (118) extending from a back side of the top surface; a backwardly angled portion (120) extending from a front side of the top surface; respective bottom surfaces (117; 121) being formed beneath the forwardly and backwardly angled portions (118; 120); a tongue (130) extending from the first side of the top surface, the tongue (130) being offset from the top surface (119); a groove (135) formed under the second side of the top surface; a fastener mount (140) extending from a first side of the bottom surface (117) of the forwardly angled portion; a channel (150) formed in a second side of the bottom surface (117) of the forwardly angled portion; and at least one tile (12); wherein: the bottom surface (117) of the forwardly angled portion (118) extends inwardly under the forwardly angled portion (118) and abuts the subsurface; and the bottom surface (121) of the backwardly angled portion (120) extends inwardly under the backwardly angled portion (120) and abuts a surface of the tile (12).

A tile fastening system for fastening at least one tile disposed above a subsurface, comprising: at least one fastening mechanism (110) comprising: a top surface (119) having a first side; a second side opposite the first side, a front side; and a back side; a forwardly angled portion (118) extending from a back side of the top surface; a backwardly angled portion (120) extending from a front side of the top surface; respective bottom surfaces (117; 121) being formed beneath the forwardly and backwardly angled portions (118; 120); a tongue (130) extending from the first side of the top surface, the tongue (130) being offset from the top surface (119); a groove (135) formed under the second side of the top surface; a fastener mount (140) extending from a first side of the bottom surface (117) of the forwardly angled portion; a channel (150) formed in a second side of the bottom surface (117) of the forwardly angled portion; and at least one tile (12); wherein: the bottom surface (117) of the forwardly angled portion (118) extends inwardly under the forwardly angled portion (118) and abuts the subsurface; and the bottom surface (121) of the backwardly angled portion (120) extends inwardly under the backwardly angled portion (120) and abuts a surface of the tile (12).
