The striker plate (1) comprises a base (2) and at least one abutment element (3) protruding from the base (2) in a first direction (D1). The abutment element (3) comprises a first face (3a) defining an abutment area configured to engage the locking pawl (12). The striker plate (1) further comprises a reinforcement arrangement (4) either protruding from a second face (3b) of the abutment element (3) or being integrated with the abutment element (3) and at least partially forming the second face (3b) of the abutment element (3).
