The invention relates to a hinge (9) for an opening leaf of a motor vehicle, comprising: a fixed strip (11) configured to be fastened to a mount (7) of the motor vehicle; a movable strip (17) that is mounted in a pivotable manner on the fixed strip (11) and configured to be fastened to the opening leaf; the fixed strip (11) comprising, at one end, a finger (13A) that is able to engage with the mount (7) so as to ensure, during the mounting of said strip (11), provisional fastening before clamping fastening means are fitted.
