A fastener for a neckwear displaying coins, medals or bars, comprising a first hinge member (191) comprising a first leaf (192), a knuckle (193), a key groove (190), a keyway (186) and a pin (194, 206); and a second hinge member (195) comprising a second leaf (196), a key (197) and a barrel (198), wherein the key groove (190) is configured to receive the key (197) and the barrel (198) is configured to receive the pin (194), and, when the fastener is locked or in use, the key (197) is engaged with the key groove (190, 202) and the pin (194, 206) is engaged with the barrel (198) allowing the first and second hinge members to pivot about the pin (194, 206); wherein the keyway (186) is comprised of elevated curls (189) on the pin, said keyway (186) configured to receive the key (197) and the key (197) is guided through the keyway during locking and unlocking of the first and second hinge members (191, 195); and wherein the keyway comprises one or more legs (187, 188, 200, 203, 204, 205, 207, 208, 209, 210, 211).
