SILICON NITRIDE POWDER AND METHOD FOR PRODUCING SAME, AND METHOD FOR PRODUCING SILICON NITRIDE SINTERED BODY
A silicon nitride powder in which a total amount of fluorine is 100 to 1,000 ppm by mass and a total amount of Fe, Al and Ca is 100 to 1,000 ppm by mass is provided. There is provided a method for producing a silicon nitride powder including a step in which a raw material which contains a silicon powder and fluoride and in which the content of fluoride with respect to the silicon powder is 0.1 to 2 mass% is fired under a mixed atmosphere containing at least one selected from the group consisting of nitrogen, hydrogen and ammonia to obtain a fired product, and a step in which the fired product is treated with hydrofluoric acid having a hydrogen fluoride concentration of 10 to 40 mass%.
