An automatic retractable seat preventing an operation error caused by an obstacle according to the present invention comprises: a retractable seat which is ejected or retracted by a driving unit part; a sensor part disposed on the retractable seat to detect an object in the path in which the retractable seat is ejected or retracted; a database part in which information detected by the sensor part is stored; and a control part, which: operates the driving unit part; if an object detection signal is received from the sensor part, compares the signal with information stored in the database part, and determines whether an obstacle exists in the path in which the retractable seat is ejected or retracted; and if it is determined that the obstacle exists, stops the operation of the driving unit part.
