    The invention relates to an apparatus (1) for extinguishing a fire on a vehicle (2), comprising: - a conveying device (30) for conveying the vehicle (2) into a receiving area (4), and - an extinguishing device (20) for introducing an extinguishing agent (19) into the receiving area (4), the receiving area (4) being formed by a basin (3) and the conveying device (30) being designed as a lowering device (5) with a standing surface (6) for the vehicle (7), in particular in the form of a lifting platform (7, 22).
