STERILIZATION SYSTEM
A system is provided for sterilizing an actuation surface which is for contact by a user to implement an actuation. A cover part includes the actuation surface and is for transferring actuation to a base. The cover part comprises a waveguide which is transparent to sterilizing light so that sterilizing light can be transmitted from a sterilizing light source to the actuation surface. The system has a first portion which is removable from the base for replacement and includes and least the cover part. A second portion is intended for continued use when the first portion is replaced. A coupling between the first and second portions implements an electrical and optical coupling.
