The invention concerns a device for cleaning the lower limbs of a user wishing to access a bathing area. The cleaning device (2) comprises: - a covering (4) intended to be walked on by the bare feet of a user, the surface of the covering (4) being permeable to an aqueous solution; - means (22) for nebulising an aqueous solution above the covering (4); - means (44, 46) for detecting the presence of a user on the covering (4); - a control module (48) configured to activate the nebulising means (22) when the detection means (44, 46) detect the presence of a user on the covering (4).
