A window which comprises at least the following features: - a window frame (1) composed of a plurality of frame profiles (1'), - a sash frame (2) which is composed of a plurality of frame profiles (2'), preferably has at least one pane element (3) and is movable relative to the window frame (1) at least between a closed position and a ventilation position, - wherein a peripheral frame rebate space (F) is formed between the frame profiles (1') of the window frame (1) and the frame profiles (2') of the sash frame (2), - at least one ventilation duct (8) which is formed in at least one of the frame profiles (1') of the window frame (1) or in at least one of the frame profiles (2') of the sash frame (2) and which has a first ventilation duct opening (9) and a second ventilation duct opening (10), - wherein the sash frame (2) and the window frame (1) are designed to close at least one of the ventilation duct openings (9, 10) in the first closed position and to open both ventilation duct openings (9, 10) of the at least one ventilation duct (8) in the second position - the ventilation position, wherein the one or more ventilation ducts (8) is/are respectively formed in at least one ventilation cartridge (14) or a plurality of ventilation cartridges which is/are inserted into the window frame or the sash frame or into the respective window frame profile (1') or the respective sash frame profile (2').
