The pole includes a handle and a first fixing part for fixing to the handgrip of the coating knife and having a contact surface of complementary shape to the profile of the handgrip of the coating knife. The pole also includes a distal part that is near the blade of the coating knife in the position of use. A proximal part is provided arranged opposite the distal part. The first fixing part further includes at least two fixing lugs mounted in a pivoting manner on the proximal part of the first fixing part and conformed to be swung over the distal part of the first fixing part.
