The invention relates to a connecting element, preferably for connecting a formwork supporting head to a tube support, the connecting element comprising: a base element, which has an interface for connecting to at least one additional element, in particular to a formwork supporting head; a bracket arm; and at least two bearing elements, which connect the base element to the bracket arm. The bracket arm has a length that spans at least the distance between the bearing elements. Furthermore, at least two tensioning elements are provided, which, operatively connected to the bearing elements, tension the bracket arm relative to the base element. The invention further relates to a connection system, comprising a connecting element and a tube support, and to a method for connecting a connecting element to a tube support.
