The invention relates to an apparatus (100) for conducting cooling air (103, 105) in order to cool an electric choke (101) which is located in a building (260) or in a hall and which has cooling lines (111) between windings of a conductor (123), the apparatus comprising: a pipe system (120) for conducting the cooling air (103, 105), which pipe system extends from at least one access region (107, 109) to the cooling lines (111) of the choke (101) to at least one wall feedthrough (113, 115) in a wall (117, 119) of the building; and an electrically conductive material (121) that is attached to the pipe system (120) and is electrically connected to the conductor (123) of the choke (101) and to the grounded wall of the building.
