A railway station canopy consists of functional modules (2) connected to one another, each having a canopy (3) made of organic glass, with a built-in route guidance system in order to separate the boarding and alighting passenger flow, and on the side facing away from the platform (7), a waiting zone and a rest zone (5) integrated in the modules (2, 2 '), in which the modules (2, 2') can be placed on the existing platform (7), for example by means of a crane, the modules (2, 2 ') are either anchored together with the platform (7) or placed on a base, separating the modules (2, 2'), so that the boarding and alighting openings of the parked train (16) are respectively connected with a channel (12) penetrating through the modules (2), the two sides of the channel are surrounded by half-height or through-height channel wall elements (18, 18 '), and after passing through the channel (12), the deboarding passengers leave the module (2) on the side facing away from the train (16); according to the invention, the passage wall elements (18, 18 ') on one or both sides of the passage (12) are provided with sliding doors or fences (17, 17'), whereby the passage wall elements (18, 18 ') are opened, whereby the passage (12) on one or both sides is opened by means of the sliding doors (14, 14'), allowing passengers located in the rest area to enter the passage (12) and through the passage (12) into the parked train (16).
