A stay cable connection assembly is provided. The stay cable connection assembly comprises a support (11), a bearing surface (14) configured to bear a load applied by a stay cable (50), the stay cable connection assembly (10) being configured to transfer the load to the support (11), a first adjustment plate (20), wherein the first adjustment plate (20) is wedge-shaped and arranged between the bearing surface (14) and the support (11), and a second adjustment plate (30), wherein the second adjustment plate (30) is wedge-shaped and arranged between the bearing surface (14) and the support (11). At least one of the first and second adjustment plates (20, 30) is configured to be rotatable to adjust an orientation of the bearing surface (14) with respect to the support (11) .
