The invention relates to a venetian blind formed of a plurality of parallel slats each having a reflecting upper face, the slats (10 to 14) being orientable by pivoting between a position wherein the normal to the reflecting surface faces vertically upwards, and positions wherein the normal to the reflecting surface faces inwards, characterised in that each of the slats (10 to 14) is extended at its outer edge by a downwardly extending strip (30 to 33), the strip (30 to 33) having a width at least equal to the height separating two consecutive slats, the inner edge of each of the strips (30 to 33) being rigid and attached to a means for connecting the inner edges of the slats (10 to 14).
