The present invention relates to a method for anti-greening treatment of a ceramic building material by depositing a coating which degrades the organic deposits during exposure to sunlight, characterised in that it consists in depositing, before the building material is fired and after it has been formed, a layer of an oxide of a semi-conductor the degradation temperature of which is greater than the firing temperature of the building material.
