The invention relates to a system (1) for recovering heat from waste heat from wastewater, comprising: a wastewater conduit (2) and a secondary line (4) for diverting the wastewater from the wastewater conduit (2), wherein the secondary line (4) is fed with the wastewater, the secondary line (4) is designed as at least one wastewater heat exchanger module (18), wherein a heat exchange fluid circulating in the secondary line (4) separately from the wastewater is heated by means of the wastewater, and wherein the cooled waste water is fed into the wastewater channel (2).
