INERTIAL SAFETY SYSTEM FOR A VEHICLE DOOR HANDLE
The invention concerns an inertial system (14) for a vehicle door handle assembly (10) comprising a locking device configured to prevent the actuation of the door handle (12) upon activation and a first inertial mass.When subjected to an acceleration force acting in a first acceleration direction, the first inertial mass is configured to move along a first movement direction from a rest position allowing the opening of the door by actuation of the door handle (12), to a locking position activating the locking device.The inertial system (14) also comprises a second inertial mass, which, when subjected to an acceleration force acting in a first acceleration direction opposite the first acceleration direction, is configured to move along a second movement direction, from a rest position allowing the opening of the door by actuation of the door handle (12) to a locking position activating the locking device. The first movement direction is opposite the second movement direction.
