A mounting system for fastening a sanitary fitting comprisesa mounting frame having at least one hollow profile, the side walls of which define an internal space, and which frame has an end face at the end thereof, and having at least one bearing structure for mounting a sanitary fitting, andat least one fastening unit having a support element which comprises a guide receptacle, and having a fastening tab which is mounted in the guide receptacle so as to be able to slide relative to the support element from a starting position into a mounting position,wherein the support element can be inserted in the internal space of the hollow profile, andwherein, in the mounting position, the fastening tab extends out of the guide receptacle and out of the internal space beyond the end face of the hollow profile.
