The invention relates to an anchor rail (1) for fixing fasteners to a channel-like receptacle (9) comprising two strip-like bridges (2), between which a slot (3) for guiding through fasteners is formed, and a plurality of anchor elements (4), which are fixed to, or formed integrally with, the two bridges (2), wherein each anchor element (4) forms a side wall of the channel-like receptacle (9) with a section (5) adjacent to the bridge (2), and has an integrally formed anchor bridge (6), wherein at least two anchor elements (4) arranged on opposing sides of the channel-like receptacle (9) are connected to one another by means of a separately produced connecting element (10), which is integrally and/or frictionally fixed in each case to the anchor elements (4). The invention further relates to a method for producing an anchor rail.
