A method for manufacturing an engineered stone (1) comprising the step of:- providing (S 1) a mixture (M) comprising at least a stone or stone like material and a binder;- compacting (S3) the mixture (M);- curing (S4) the binder;and wherein the method comprises the step of printing (S2) a printed pattern (4) on at least a top surface (3) of the engineered stone (1).
