Una baldosa sintética modular (10; 100) que comprende: una superficie de contacto superior (14; 114); una pluralidad de aberturas (30) formadas en dicha superficie de contacto superior (14; 114), teniendo cada una de dichas aberturas (30) una geometría definida por miembros estructurales (18; 22; 118, 122) configurados para intersecarse entre sí en diversos puntos de intersección, para formar al menos un ángulo agudo, según lo medido entre ejes imaginarios que se extienden a través de dichos puntos de intersección, teniendo dichos miembros estructurales (18, 22; 118, 122) una superficie superior lisa y plana (34; 134) que forma dicha superficie de contacto, y una cara lisa y plana (38a, 38b; 138a, 13b) orientada transversalmente con respecto a dicha superficie superior, extendiéndose hasta la parte inferior de dicho miembro estructural; y medios para acoplar (46, 60; 146, 160) dicha baldosa a dichas aberturas de al menos otra baldosa, caracterizada por tener una forma de rombo o similar a un rombo.
A modular synthetic floor tile comprising: (a) an upper contact surface; (b) a plurality of openings formed in the upper contact surface, each of the openings having a geometry defined by structural members configured to intersect with one another at various intersection points to form at least one acute angle as measured between imaginary axes extending through the intersection points, the structural members having a smooth, planar top surface forming the contact surface, and a face oriented transverse to the top surface; (c) a transition surface extending between the top surface and the face of the structural members configured to provide a blunt edge between the top surface and the face, and to reduce abrasiveness of the floor tile; and (d) means for coupling the floor tile to at least one other floor tile.
